Alpine Mixed Multiformat is the most active surface in the range: Portuguese natural limestone from Central Portugal, supplied in a mix of sizes with a Natural Split-Face surface for facades and wall cladding. Rectangular pieces are combined with smaller complementary pieces, and the exact mix varies between deliveries.

Mixed tones and mixed sizes in one surface

What separates it from the other multiformat option is that two variables move together. The size mix breaks the coursing, and the cooler Alpine tonal range adds clear variation from piece to piece, so the wall gains both structural rhythm and visible tonal depth. That combination reads as traditional alpine masonry translated into a contemporary elevation, and it suits walls that are meant to be the principal feature: entrance elevations, chalet and mountain-house façades, plinths and base courses, chimney and gable walls, and interior walls where a single strong stone surface anchors the room.

Because the surface is doing a lot, it is usually most effective on defined areas rather than across every elevation of a building, and it benefits from being seen at the distance it will actually be viewed from.

AM/MT next to Sunset Beige Multiformat

Compared with Sunset Beige Multiformat, the format idea is the same but the tonal variation is stronger and the tones are cooler. Within its own collection, Alpine Blue Irregular offers the same cool contrast in a single dispersed format, and Alpine Gray Irregular offers a quieter, more even grey.

Thicknesses for the mixed-format delivery

Known indicative pallet yields are about 25, 20 and 15 m² for 2–3, 4–6 and 6–8 cm, with an average pallet weight of 1,300–2,500 kg; every thickness option is listed in the technical specifications table. Because both size and tone vary, setting out is best planned with an experienced stone installer, and representative samples or a project mock-up may help confirm the composition.
